▷▷▷▷ Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 Inversion Therapy Table Review

I have chronic upper back pain and a pinching the nerves in my spine that affect hands and forearms.Once, I had a 2 week spell with sciatica and couldn't walk from lower back. They have never bothered me at the same time.Upper back is my usual problem.

Normally, I toss and turned all night with numbness and arthritic pain in hands and forearms.I searched to see if this Teeter Table has helped anyone with upper back problems as most of the praise was about relief of lower back pain.My search only foundanother person with the same question and no answer.

This thing is great.I now have hope.It has helped relief dragging pain and discomfort I have come to know as an all-the-time thing.I thought it might help a little but not this much.WOW! The first night after using it, I slept so deep and my pain and numbness was much relieved.I slept through the night til 5:10 instead of the usual, up every two hours.Still, I developed the pain (pretty strong) by the end of the work day. I went home used it to relax and teeter on.What a great stress reliever it is.I also inverted all the way back this time for a few seconds.Really pulls the weight of your head off the spinal column. I spent a lot of time on it just inverting minimally while my daughter told me about her day.(She loves it too to relieve back ache and stress).

Then I slept well all night with minimal numbness and pain with deeper sleep.Only woke up once in the middle of the night.

2nd night: Slept great, pain much less than day before, and a great day at work with no pain WOW!I just wanted to make sure I told you how great it is because my inclination (no pun intended) would be to invert my happy self off into the sunset.Good night!Buy it it's well worth the money!Oh one more thing.Do watch the dvd on assembling it.That will save you a lot of time putting it together. My daughter and I did it in a reasonable amount of time.It is well made and you feel secure with how well it is put together.Happy inverting! I will try to update if any changes develop.

Product Description
Whether you want to improve your posture, reduce back pain, or simply minimize your daily stress load, the Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 inversion therapy table makes a terrific choice. Inversion therapy works by placing your body in line with the downward force of gravity. In the process, inversion elongates the spine, increases the space between the vertebrae, and relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments, and nerve roots. And less pressure means less back pain, as well as fewer headaches and neck problems. Inversion is ideal for people with persistent spine and muscle aches, in addition to athletes who frequently push their bodies out of whack through repetitive muscle motions, such as runners, weightlifters, skiers, cyclists, and golfers. Studies suggest that inverting yourself a mere 25 degrees for even a few minutes per day can have tremendous positive effects.

Inversion therapy helps you improve your posture and reduce back pain.Never before has an inversion table worked with your body the way an EP series inversion table does. The EP-950--Teeter's top-of-the-line EP inversion table--uses Teeter's patented Flex Technology design to move as you move. By working with your body instead of against it, the table accommodates a greater range of motion than other tables, promoting realignment of the spine and relaxing your muscles. The EP-950 then adds an optimal surface for decompression, with a smooth, light-friction texture that allows the body to slide and achieve a premium stretch. Plus, engineering tests have shown that Teeter inversion tables are the most precisely balanced tables on the market. This allows users to control the lockout more confidently in full inversion.

In addition to its EP-standard features, the EP-950 offers a number of upgrades over other Teeter EP tables. The table's ratchet ankle lock system, for instance, offers an easy-to-reach solution in addition to a triple-lock security feature. The table also includes EZ Stretch handles to help increase traction and enhance your stretching experience. To make your inversion more efficient, the table's EZ Angle tether strap lets you preset your rotation angles at 20, 40, or 60 degrees. This provides an easy guide to where the benefits of inversion begin and are fully realized. Finally, the table includes a new Ankle Comfort Dial that adjusts for smaller or larger feet, allowing you to find a comfortable and secure fit for your ankle clamps.

The table's Flex Technology move as you move to further relax your muscles.Other details include a robust base with A-frame tubing and corner feet; auto-locking hinges, cam locks, and heat-treated steel parts; a de-rattler knob and specialized pivot bearings that ensure a lifetime of squeak- and rattle-free rotation; a scratch-resistant powder coating and a triple-plated chrome finish; and a plastic injection-molded construction with easy-to-clean surfaces. The table also comes with an Advanced Secrets to a Better Back instructional DVD that includes five 10-to-15-minute exercise and stretching classes. The DVD is hosted by Dr. Shawn, and includes such workouts as Good Morning (wakeup and warm up your spine); Strength & Stretch (build your core muscles); Posture Correction (look better and function better); Gym Ball (specialized core-building class), and Inversion Table (to receive the maximum benefits from your inversion table). The only inversion table on the market that can be modified with accessories, the EP-950 folds in just a few seconds to 28 by 66 by 16 inches (W x H x D) for easy storage.

Specifications:

  • Height capacity: 4 foot 8 inches to 6 foot 6 inches
  • Weight capacity: 300 pounds
  • Assembled dimensions: 48 by 61 by 27 inches (W x H x D)
  • Weight: 74 pounds

▷▷▷▷ Hang Ups EZ Up Inversion System w/ Boots and Rack Review

I tried a couple of inversion tables but found that they weren't very comfortable on my ankles.Note:It is important to only buckle these gravity boots as loosely as you can without slipping out of them for maximum comfort (transfers pressure off achiles tendon and onto heal bone.)You can use these gravity boots with some inversion tables, but If you have the strength/coordination you may find that hanging from a bar (teeters brand) allows for more options (more hip/body movement.)Scientific studies have shown that traction is of questionable benefit, so I never bothered to persue inversion as the mechanism at play is obviously traction. However, recently, after many many years of back pain, I've started a program of inversion.I find that out of all the things I have tried (of which there are a great many), the inversion is probably the most beneficial. It hasn't cured me by any means, but it has provided some improvement.I think one thing to stress is that it is not sufficient to simply invert and lay still.Rather, it is probably much more beneficial to alternately contract the abdominals in a way that shortens your spinal length by aprox an inch or two.As if you are trying to pull your belly button up into your pelvis. or pelvic bone down into your belly button, perhaps? Do this every five or ten seconds. Not only will this strengthen your abs, but it will also fatiuge your stabalizing muscels so as to more fully stretchthe spine (the abs, if not fatiuged, probably limit the stretch, as they are trying to protect the spine and hold it in place.)Also, by contracting and relexing the abs, you are likely expanding and contracting the disc space, moving fluid around the connective tissue (which has no real blood vessels of thier own.)Lastly, by doing these contractions, you may in effect be loading and unloading the spinal ligaments, which might strengthen them the way a bicep is strengthened by contracting and relaxing through bicep curls. There are many people, myself included, who believe that weak ligaments are the primary culprit in many lower back problems (even if bad discs are present....ie, many people have bad discs without problems, as shown by MRI studies.)In my case I believe it is my Sacroiliac joint ligament (si joint dysfunction.) I'm quite convinced that my improvments are not placebo in origin, as I was quite pessimistic about trying this (due to studies on traction that had me convinced this was fairly futile.)In addition to the abdominal contractions, I'd also reccomend dofull inverted situps, hula type hip rotations while inverted, try to stretch the front of your hips (flexors) while inverted, and also twisting and side bending motion. It is probable that all this motion and stretching while inverted ads flexibility and elasticity to the connective tissue as well as moves fluid around.I invert twice a day for ten minutes each time.

▷▷▷▷ Teeter Hang Ups Power II Inversion Table (White Finish) Review

Back pain is a very common and complex problem. In majority of people it is difficult to pinpoint the origin of pain: muscle, disc, vertebra, spur, joint, ligaments etc. With advancing age more people get back pain and it is thought that human bipedal upright posture puts tremendous weight and pressure on elastic, cushion like discs and causes their degeneration, resulting in inelastic spine with loss of shock absorption capacity and back pain.

Unfortunately, there are very few modalities which work long term for back pain. Exercise & Yoga and Acupuncture are the two proven modalities for long term back pain relief and prevention. Pain medications work but have long term risks and costs. Surgery for chronic back pain is very controversial - probably helps surgeon more than the patient.

That is where inversion tables come in. Theoretically, in upside down posture, the body weight stretches the spine in other direction and decompress the discs and slows down the damage caused by weight and compression. It is a form of traction. Medical literature has less than a handful studies indicating the benefits of inversion. But we don't know whether the studies have not been done or they were negative and not published in journals. The journals only publish positive studies, not the negative ones. Studies also show that blood pressure increases by about 15-20 mm in inverted position so inversion should not used, for risk of stroke, if the blood pressure is high to begin with.

Since theory was appealing, and I am already doing back exercises and Yoga, (Back Care Basics: A Doctor's Gentle Yoga Program for Back and Neck Pain Relief) which work to an extent, I decided to try inversion table based on anecdotal recommendation from friends. The inversion tables can be power (motorized) or manual. The manual inversion tables are cheaper but putting ankle strap is difficult andthe angle of inversion is difficult to adjust. Power inversion tables are more expensive but the angle of inversion is more flexible and can be adjusted to your comfort level and the ones with power ankle clamps are easier to get into and out of.

Teeter Power Inversion Tables are sturdy and models are II to VI. Power ankle clamps are in IV and above. I bought Teeter Hang Ups Power V Inversion Table from Costco.com, which has power ankle clamps and have used it for 4 months so far. [...]

Teeter Hang Ups Power V table is sturdy and in general mechanics of the machine work well.Despite power ankle clamps, you still have to be very careful getting in and out of the inversion table, I have already scraped my legs once. The longer you are on the table in inverted position the more the inversion angle, more likely you are to get ankle discomfort.

Does it help the back pain? After 4 months of use, I think it does but it took some experimentation and trial and error. I started using 10 minutes twice a day and gradually increased the angle of inversion. 10 minutes duration is based on one study which showed that disc pressure does not lower any further after 10 minutes of inversion. I also found out to use it after and not before treadmill, otherwise it increases back pain. The effect on back pain relief is not as good as with exercise & Yoga, but it adds to the benefit from back exercises. In my experiences, adding inversion to back exercises has provided me equivalent relief to Acupuncture.

Therefore, based on 4 months of use and some research, my conclusions are that inversion does help back pain, but increase inversion angle gradually and go for the power inversion table, Teeter Hang Ups Power inversion tables are good and get one with motorized ankle clamps, [...]

Unlike other inversion products made for home use--which tend to require customized adjustments for each user, the Power II table is operated at the push of a button. Once activated, the table slowly and easily rotates to any comfortable angle, allowing for a relaxed inversion experience every time. The table also includes a bed frame made of decompression foam, which helps optimize the traction stretch (lower-density foams actually restrict body slide, thereby hindering the effectiveness of your inversion experience). Other features include comfortable foam ankle clamps; a heavy-duty, scratch-resistant white frame with a powder-coated finish; durable handgrips to help you get on and off the table; and an 88-page medical research book on inversion written by an independent medical researcher. The Power II--which accommodates people as tall as 6 feet 6 inches and who weigh as much as 300 pounds--carries a two-year warranty.

▷▷▷▷ Teeter Hang Ups Gravity Boots (XL) Review

Excellent service, the day after I ordered my boots I realized I ordered the wrong size.I call the company, they corrected my order immediately, and stop the shipment of my original order. And I still received my inversion boots within a few days.Without any hassle.

Also, the boots made inversion a lot more comfortable and able to stay inverted for longer periods of time with no pain.

Product Description

The Teeter Hang Ups gravity boots offer a safe way to perform tough inverted exercises. Need a safe way to invert while in the comfort of your own home? Turn to the Teeter Hang Ups gravity boots, which are designed for use with the Teeter EZ-Up inversion rack, Teeter inversion bar, or Teeter F5000 and F7000 inversion table. Gravity boots are ideal for most inversion exercises, as they offer full ankle support and keep the wearer safely attached to the inversion device. As a result, you can relieve pressure on your vertebrae discs and ligaments, stimulate your blood circulation, improve flexibility, and reduce fatigue, all without worrying about falling to the floor. The boots are also great for performing inverted exercises, such as crunches, sit-ups, and squats.

This extra-large boot size fits most users, with bootstraps that adjust to fit both thin and thick ankles alike. The boots are also extremely comfortable, with a tough yet pliable blend of DuPont Hytrel material that minimizes pressure points, along with super-soft 5/8-inch foam liners designed to reduce compression. Other details include ratcheting self-locking buckles for safety and security, removable calf loops that help reduce the load on the knee joints and the top of the foot, and a five-year warranty.

About Teeters Hang Ups
Founded in 1981 by Roger and Jennifer Teeter, Teeter Hang Ups has been manufacturing quality inversion products ever since. The primary reason for company's success is that the founders truly believe in the health benefits of inversion, a simple, natural form of therapy that's been around since 400 B.C. The Teeters first learned about inversion at a water ski tournament in 1980. At the time, Roger Teeter was suffering from severe back problems, which he owed to his career as a professional water skier and from an auto accident. After trying several forms of therapy to help manage his pain, he finally learned that by hanging upside down, he was able to relieve the pressure on his back and begin the road to recovery. In the ensuing years, the Teeters saw an absence in the marketplace of safe, high-quality inversion products, and dedicated themselves to filling that void. Teeter Hang Ups is the only company in the world to manufacture inversion products continuously since 1981.
