I don't write many reviews so when I do the product is exceptional. Wilson got it right with this set of irons. First of all they just look professional and they set up very nice. The top line is not to thick and the off-set is just right. The shaft is a True Temper Superlite TX99 uniflex (Fat-Shaft) which is right on the money for me. I have been playing with stiff shafts for years and the only reason I went with the uniflex is because I couldn't find a stiff set in left hand and boy am I happy I couldn't find a stiff set. The grip is also very nice, better than most of the other top names.
When I put these irons in my bag I didn't want to hit them because they look so good. I din't want to scratch them.lol. The first trip to the range blew me away. The ball just explodes off of the club face with a very soft feel, even my heavy and thin shots got good distance, much better than any other club I have hit in the past and I have played them all. My ball flight was high, straight, and long with every iron. Did I mention straight? wow these irons just want to go straight, where you aim is where they go. These clubs do have strong lofts by design but they are still very long. I normally average about 115 yards with my pitching wedge and I was hitting the Di9 125 yards every time. I also hit my normal 9 iron about 125-130 Yards and I was hitting the Di9 nine iron 135-140 and I wasn't trying to kill the ball. Another neat design feature is that the di9's were designed for more forgiveness on toe shots were most of us tend to hit the ball if we are off center. Way to go Wilson!!
The other neat thing with these irons is the set make-up. The set comes with a Gap, approach, and pitching wedge and only have a 3.5* difference between clubs so there is no big gap difference between any iron. If you have a chance to demo a set of di9's you will buy them. I am going to buy a second set and I now know the uniflex shaft will serve me well for a long time.

Simply put... for a mid to high handicapper, these clubs are THE best for the money, and maybe for any amount. I added 10 yards minimum, 20 to 30 with the 7 and 6. My hook is gone completely, and every shot is straight, high, and far. I replaced the 5 with the Wilson Fybrid 5, added the 4 and 3 Fybrids, along with the 19.5 degree, 3 and 5 wood Fybrids. I capped if off with a Wilson Spine driver. In the end, it is the best set I've ever owned. These clubs hit straighter than any I've seen, and give me more distance. I've played with Callaway Diablos (twice on loan), owned Taylor Made Tour Preferred, and used Cobra S2's once. These play as well or better, for so much less. My only complaint is/are the wedges. Like the rest of the set, these clubs launch the ball long and high... which is great until you get to the short game. It takes getting used to, but I've adapted. If you want more control, see Wilson's C series (Ci7 or Ci9). Either way, you can't go wrong. Wilson Staff was once one of the most respected names in golf. When Wilson changed its business model and decided to focus less on golf, it resulted in a generation of junk clubs and toys. Now, Wilson Staff is back and they are selling the best product out there at the cheapest prices possible, in order to earn back its reputation. Take advantage now. Once Wilson Staff reaches the level it once held, it will charge accordingly.

This is my first set of irons, i had a pieced together set before, and these wilson irons are impressive. I wish they came with a 3 and 4 iron but for the price of 250.00, i will take it. great price, great irons, I highly recomend them.
